Everything you could possibly want to know about me...and some things you don't.

I love music, and I can get a little...um...obsessive. My favorite band of all time is The Beatles. Some people think I like them a little too much for my own good. My second favorite band (and therefore favorite band that is currently active) would have to be Weezer. I also like The Monkees, The Rolling Stones, Beck, Oasis, the Beastie Boys, Nirvana, Sean Lennon, Julian Lennon, Herman's Hermits (I saw them in concert and got to talk to Peter Noone and get his autograph! Yippee! He took the time to talk to everybody...what a nice guy!), John Denver, Dion, the Strokes, Phantom Planet, Andrew WK, the Starlight Mints, the Rentals (I met Matt Sharp once. He's awesome.), Blur, the White Stripes, Graham Coxon, Ben Kweller, Ash, Idlewild, The Libertines, The Flaming Lips, and McLusky. *phew* Here are some links to pages about these bands.

I'm a hopeless idealist and very concerned with social issues. I'm interested in non-violence and world peace. I'm also concerned about protecting the environment and animal rights/animal welfare. I'm a vegetarian, and I have been for about five years. Here are some of the causes and issues that interest me.

I love animals. I have a pet newt named Gingrich (haha...get it?). Someday I want to adopt an Old English Sheepdog because I absolutely love them (I don't really know why...It's just some kind of weird obsession I have).

I watch a lot of TV. I'm usually glued to the screen when The Simpsons (I'm so much like Lisa, it's kind of scary), Teletubbies, Malcolm in the Middle, The Crocodile Hunter (I aspire to be like Steve Irwin!), Pokemon, The Powerpuff Girls, The Monkees, Mr. Bean, and old episodes of Seinfeld are on. I know that sounds like an insane amount of TV to watch, but I only watch a few of these on a regular basis (a lot of them aren't even currently on the air) and I'm always doing something else at the same time (like homework).

I'm not exactly what you'd call a sporty person (I'm just a little on the clumsy side), but I love baseball (watching, not playing of course). My favorite team is the Chicago Cubs. GO CUBS! My favorite member of the team would have to be Kerry Wood (My sister and I got on TV with a sign that said "Kerry Wood is on fire...'Cause he's so HOT!" They even made fun of us on the news that night.). As far as other sports go, I used to watch basketball on occasion, but usually not more than the last ten minutes of a game. Also, I used to play soccer (Me playing a sport...Can you believe it?). I don't follow football, but I'll watch the Super Bowl when it's on. Hockey is a little scary, but funny. I like it when they fight.

My favorite actor is Ewan McGregor, who was in Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace, Trainspotting, A Life Less Ordinary, Emma, and a whole bunch of other movies. I also like Jason Schwartzman of Rushmore and Slackers (he's also a good musician...he plays drums for Phantom Planet). Some of my favorite movies are Mary Poppins, The Sound of Music, A Hard Day's Night, Help!, Magical Mystery Tour, My Fair Lady, Yellow Submarine, Death Race 2000, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Moulin Rouge, Rushmore, The Royal Tenenbaums, any James Bond movie (But Goldfinger is probably the best), all the Star Wars movies, and (of course) The Brave Little Toaster.

I also try to play the violin and guitar (but I don't do either well at all), meander aimlessly around the internet for hours, draw, write, try to compose songs (but most aren't that good), create parodies of everything imaginable, shop for shoes (haha), work on "Platypus at Noon", attempt to talk in a Liverpool accent, impersonate celebrities like Celine Dion and Britney Spears, do way too much homework, and generally act weird.
